Material use : Solvent for nitrocellulose. Solvent is used in coating and ink industry. A slow evaporating active solvent used in lacquer thinners. Butyl Cellosolve is widely used in the surface coating industry as a solvent, a viscosity improver for alkyd resin system, a property regulator and a coalescer and flow improver in waterbased paints. It is also applied in printing inks, hydraulic fluids, household and industrial cleaners, cosmetics, agricultural formulations and cutting oils, electroplating solutions, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics and magnetic tapes, leather finishes. It is also used as a starting material for chemical synthesis.
